Nominator's project description
| Professor Liu is an international leader in the field of theoretical and computational mechanics. He has made significant contributions to computational techniques for numerous problems in engineering, including the development of several meshfree methods and the smoothed finite element method (S-FEM), which is based on his new G-Space theory and weakened weak formulations. In Germany, Professor Liu will work on the development of the next generation computational methods for moving boundary problems and their application to specific engineering applications. |
